Agreement Subscription Ceremony was held in the Commercial Chamber
of Changping District. Mr. Hong Qizhong, deputy head of Changping
District and Mr. Su Guiguang, Director of the Administration Committee
of Changping Park of Zhongguancun Science Park, Mr. Paul Conway, global
managing deputy president of Cargill and Mr. Ralph Apple, global business
supervisor of Cargill, Mr.Gerrit Hueting, Mr. Liu Jia and Mr. Guo
Xinqiu, chairman, general manager and managing deputy general manager
of the Chinese party of Cargill Asia Pacific Food Systems (Beijing)
Co., Ltd respectively, Mr. Yang Yubao and Mr. Wang Shugang, director
and deputy director of Huilongguan Area Office, Mr. Liu Qun and Mr.
Sun Mang, executive deputy president and assistant to the president
of Beijing International Information Park Corporation participated
in the signing ceremony.

Cargill is the largest food ingredient processing enterprises and
the largest food supply chain provider having a history of 140 years
in the world. The sales volume of Cargill surpassed US$63 billion
in 2004, ranking the 14th among Fortune 500 companies. According to
the international development strategy, Cargill will establish Cargill
Investment (China) Co., Ltd R&D Center and Cargill Asia Pacific
Food Systems (Beijing) Co., Ltd with a registered capital of US$15
million yuan. The R&D center will mainly serve for the global
R&D center in Asia-Pacific region and participate in global R&D
of Cargill. The food company will offer the newest food ingredient
system and technological solution to China and 28 countries in Asia-Pacific
regions. Some products will be sold to Europe and America. After the
completion of the project, the yearly output value will surpass 1.5
billion yuan.

Deputy president Liu showed his welcome to Cargill's entry of Beijing
International Information Industry Base. He said that Beijing International
Information Industry Base will stick to the platform of international
cooperation and the objective of drawing Fortune 500 enterprises.
Through such measures as organizing high-level conference as Hainan
Information Industry Development Summit, Fuzhou MNCs Forum, inviting
such high-profile figures as former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani,
Princess Michael from the U.K. and Prince Abdula Sultan from United
Arab Emirates and organizing officials from embassies and consulates
and international chambers of commerce and associations to participate
in receptions and golf invitational tournaments to erect the internationalized
image of Beijing International Information Industry Base, bringing
forth rich channel resources. Presently, the base has established
good cooperative ties with over 30 embassies and consulates, above
50 Fortune 500 Companies, more than 70 investment institutions and
80 first-class chambers of commerce and associations. The entry of
Cargill shows that the base can and will continue to carry more MNCs'
entry and construction.
Such leaders as Hong Qizhong
and Wang Shugang, deputy head of Changping District and deputy director
of Huilongguan Area Office said in their speech that as a place of
good geomantic omen, Huilongguan is not only the first choice for
habitation, but a hot soil for entrepreneurs. Local governments at
two levels have committed to further optimize the environment to secure
enterprises' development.
Leaders from the Changping Development and Reform Commission, Changping
Administration of Taxation, Changping Local Taxation Bureau, Changping
Administration for Industry and Commerce, Changping Bureau of Commerce,
Changping Bureau of Industry and Changping Investment Service Center
participated in the signing ceremony. Such media as Changping TV,
