On Jan. 12, 2004, "State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club" News
Release Conference was held at the Presidential Plaza Hotel Beijing
, with the purposes of officially recommending all social circles
"the State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club", the project of
"Investment in Beijing" and Beijing CIIC-Beizi Investment
Consulting Co., Ltd which will come into existence soon.
Leaders on behalf of the Beijing Municipal Government, China Council
for the Promotion of International Trade (C.C.P.I.T.), China Association
of International Public Relations, Beijing Development Planning
Commission, diplomatic officers from embassies in China such as
Finland, Holland, and Kazakhstan, commercial officials of Korean
Trader's Organization, Italy-China Association, the Singapore Chamber
of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce of Malaysia, and entrepreneurs
of famous domestic enterprises, as well as enterprises of World
Top 500 such as General Electric, Cisco (China), IBM(China Co.,
Ltd.), Motorola, China National Petroleum Corp, Korean SK, , altogether
more than 40 people, attended the news conference.
Almost 50 famous domestic press units such as CCTV, BTV, Phoenix
Satellite Television, Macao Satellite Television, Xinhua News Agency,
People's Daily, China News Agency, China Daily, China Youth Daily,
Science and Technology Daily, Beijing Times, China Economic Times,
and www.Qianlong.com, were present in the conference.
During the Conference, Mr. Yu Xiaosong , the Chief Consultant of
the State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club and the former President of
C.C.P.I.T., Mr. Xie Cheng, the Executive Chairman of the State-Guest
Entrepreneurs' Club and the President of SK China, and Mr. Zheng
Yannong, the Executive Vice President of China Association of International
Public Relations, gave general accounts of the Club. HE Mr. Karibzhanov,
the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Mr. Xu Qiwei, the Vice President of
Cisco China, Mr. Ren Peishan, the Chief of the Delegates of IBM(China),
and Mr. Yuan Renguo, the Chairman of the Board of Maotai Group Co.,
Ltd., made respectively addresses of congratulation. In their speeches
of congratulation, Mr. Xu Qiwei, the Vice President of Cisco China
and Mr. Ren Peishan, the Chief of the Delegates of IBM(China), said
that the establishment of the State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club is
of significant importance. The club, as the only one superior commercial
club of which the international communication is the main purpose,
has filled in a vacuum in the western Beijing. They also expressed
that, based on the Club, both of them will enhance the communication
among enterprises and endeavor to develop the State-Guest Entrepreneurs'
Club into a platform of international communication. They also hoped
that the State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club will provide them more
opportunities of communication between entrepreneurs, so as to achieve
an mutual development. Correspondents from Xinhua News Agency, People's
Daily, CCTV, BTV, and etc. put questions concerning the Club's characteristics,
facilities and the rights of club members.
After the conference, guests and correspondents were invited to
visit the State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club and then, attended a reciprocal
reception. Participants expressed their supports to the concept
of internationalization of the State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club,
and their appreciations for the service content and hardware facilities
of the Club as well. They said that if possible, they will surely
lend a hand to the development of the State-Guest Entrepreneurs'
Club.
