"Multinationals Forum" Concluded in Fuzhou


"Multinationals Forum-Fuzhou Summit", co-sponsored by Fuzhou municipal government and Beijing State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club was concluded on May 19 in Fuzhou.

High-ranking officials from Fuzhou municipal government and Bureau of foreign trade, representatives from such prestigious overseas and domestic companies as SK, Siemens, Nortal and Metro attended this forum.

This "Multinationals Forum-Fuzhou Summit" is composed of three parts, namely, the opening ceremony of the 6th Cross-Straits Conference on Economy and Trade, "Shida Cup" Elite Golf Invitation Tournament and the " Multinational Company Forum" Talk Show.

The 2004 China Cross-straits Conference on Economy and Trade was held in Fuzhou from May 18 to May 22. High-ranking officials of Fuzhou municipal government warmly welcomed all distinguished participants in this "Multinationals Forum" and encouraged multinational companies to invest in Fujian province as well as to promote and expand cooperation with Fujian province in various field.

Invited by Beijing State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club, Xu Gehui, a renowned host from Phoenix TV, hosted a talk show on the theme of how to enhance the regional competitiveness of the economic zone on the west bank of the Taiwan Straits. Liang jianyong, vice mayor of Fuzhou Municipal Government, Xie cheng, president of SK (China), Huang jigong, vice president of Nortal (China) and lv Guoman, vice president of Metro (China), as well as other high-profile representatives from multinational companies and domestic companies participated in this Talk Show.

In the Golf Invitation Tournament, Wu Hongwen, from Shenzhen Xipuliou Co., and Fang Xiangjiang, the managing director of Hongkong Bike Co., scored the gross winner and the net winner respectively.

As a sponsor of this Multinationals Forum, State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club actively participated in the organizing of this Forum and the cooperation with the Fuzhou municipal government proved to be fruitful.
