Leaders of CIIC
and State Guest Entrepreneur Club
are invited to participate in a reception
On the evening of September 19, U.S ambassador
to China host a reception party to George E. Pataki, governor of New York
State and his party at the ambassador's mansion. Mr. Wang Tianyi and Mr.
Liu Qun, president of CIIC and board chairman of the State Guest Entrepreneur
Club and deputy president of CIIC and GM of the State Guest Entrepreneur
Club respectively accompanied Hu Deping and Sun Xiaohua, two vice chairmen
of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and leaders from the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship
with Foreign Countries to present the reception.
President Wang and deputy president Liu conducted intimate communications
with the participants respectively. Liu firstly briefed situations on
the preparation of "One-to-One Negotiation between Enterprises of
China --New York State" to George E. Pataki. Liu said that State
Guest Entrepreneur Club will continue to track the information of the
participating enterprises and offer follow-up services to U.S enterprises
and help them find ideal partners in China. Mr. Pataki said that the New
York State Government and U.S. enterprises are satisfied with the arrangement
of the negotiation and thanked the club for the work it has done. Both
parties hoped that there will be more cooperative opportunities.
When making in-depth communications with such officials as U.S ambassador
to China Mr. Clark T. Randt and minister David S.Sedney on strengthening
the exchange between Chinese and U.S. enterprises, Liu briefed the ambassador
the work his club has done in international co-operations. Liu said that
more activities will be held later on to boost the exchange between the
enterprise circles of both countries. Especially, the resources of the
club in enterprises will be fully utilized to seek partners for U.S. enterprises.
Ambassador Randt affirmed the work that the club has done. Business officials
of U.S. embassy in China said that they hope the club can do more for
the in-depth exchanges between enterprises of two countries.
President Wang and deputy president Liu took
a group photo with Ambassador Clark T. Randt, minister David S. Sedney
and governor George E. Pataki.
They also talked with officials from All-China Federation of Industry
and Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese People's Association
for Friendship with Foreign Countries and China Council for the Promotion
of International Trade.
The governmental and business delegation of the New York State came to
visit China on the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for
Friendship with Foreign Countries. On the same day, over 10 U.S enterprises
in the visiting delegation and 30 Chinese enterprises invited by State
Guest Entrepreneur Club participated in the "One-to-One Negotiation
between Enterprises of China --New York State" held in Hyatt Hotel
of Beijing.
