The 2007 Enlarged Meeting of the Council of Biscuit Committee, CBCS

--The Promotion Conference of "Pengzhou Industry Park", BIIIB

From June 16 to 16, 2007, "the 2007 Chengdu Enlarged Meeting of Council of Biscuit Committee, CBCS", co-sponsored by Beijing State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club of CIIC, and Biscuit Committee of China Association of Bakery and Confectionery Industry (CBCS for short), and organized by the People's Government of Pengzhou, was held in Chengdu and Pengzhou, which, located in 36km northwest of Chengdu, is the cradle of the ancient Shu Kingdom with such reputations as "the Gold Basin of the Heaven" and "the Famous Region in Shu and Han Kingdom".

On June 15, the leaders from Food Production and Supervision Department of AQSIQ, China National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries, CBCS and Pengzhou Municipal government as well as the delegates from nearly 50 leading enterprises in the global food industry attended the conference. At the conference, the leaders from Food Production and Supervision Department of AQSIQ, China National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries, CBCS and Pengzhou Municipality made comprehensive introductions to the national laws and regulations on food supervision and management as well as the investment environment of Pengzhou respectively, and made hot discussion on such topics as the present policy, trend, opportunity and challenges in the domestic food industry with the present delegates.

On June 16, under the accompaniment of the management committee of Pengzhou District, the present delegates visited and inspected the food industry park of Pengzhou Industry Park. They held talks on the investment and cooperation details such as the detailed measures of attracting investment and supporting the sustainable development adopted by the government as well as the requirements to the in-park enterprises and etc, and a preliminary multi-party investment cooperation intent had been reached.

The meeting held by Beijing State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club of CIIC, and Biscuit Committee of CBCS aims to build a platform of commercial communication and exchange between the enterprise and government and among the enterprises in China's food industry, meanwhile, it can promote Pengzhou Industry Park to other enterprises and enhance the balanced development of China's food market according to the regional development characteristics of China's food industry.
