Shandong governor Jiang Daming meets with members of the CIIC delegation
On May 7, 2011, Jiang Daming,
governor of Shandong province, held a meeting with Wang Tianyi, chairman
of CIIC, and Neil Bush, co-chairman of CIIC. Wang Tianyi made a report
on the planning scheme of the "Beijing Gulf" project to be
developed under the cooperation between CIIC and BEDA.
After listening to the report of CIIC on the planning scheme to build
the 80-suquare-kilometer BEDA into the "Beijing Gulf" with
one center, three industries and nine functional zones, Jiang said BEDA
is a national development zone established under the approval of the
State Council and hold an important strategic position as a major zone
on the C-shape Bohai rim, which is called a "golden necklace";
the Shandong government is very expectant for the cooperation with big
companies such as CIIC and promise to provide great support for the
cooperative development and construction in BEDA.
The other people attending the meeting include vice president Ma Hailiang,
assistant president Zhao Yijun and deputy director Liang Weiwei.
