CIIC's "Beijing Gulf, Capital's Enclave"
From July 5 to 6, 2011, CIIC's
"Beijing Gulf, Capital's Enclave" project team conducted an
on-the-spot observation on Shandong Weifang Binhai Economic-Technological
Development Area (BEDA) under the leadership of Liu Qun, vice president
of CIIC and general manager of Beijing International Information Park
Development Co., Ltd. Su Like, member of the standing committee of CPC
Weifang Committee, secretary of the Party Working Committee of BEDA
and director of the Administrative Committee of BEDA, and Wang Shenpeng,
vice secretary of the Party Working Committee of BEDA and deputy director
of the Administrative Committee of BEDA, met with the team members for
a warm reception.
The two parties exchanged opinions
on the "Beijing Gulf" and had an in-depth communication about
the site selection, spatial layout, land cooperation mode and industrial
planning. Preliminarily, it's assured that the project will cover an
area of 80 square kilometers and specific coverage has been marked out
on the overall planning drawings. The Administrative Committee of BEDA
quite agreed with the proposal of the project team for building the
project with one center--the Youth Center, three industries--the international
information, international finance and tourism and health promotion
industries, and nine functional zones. Remarkable achievements were
made through the discussion.
